Hi there,

When I was at school in the late 60's there was a scheme run by Vauxhall - "The Vauxhall Craftsmens Guild" - encouraging us to design and build models of our visions of the cars of the next generation. I covered my rough books with sketches and doodles all of which seemed to look much like the Ford GT40 or the Opel GT. The GT40 would always be out of reach but the ownership of an Opel GT has always been an aim for me. I still haven't managed it but it will be my next…

Following a conversation with Martyn Linford at Billing, we have decided to approve everyone who applies to the site to join, but only paid up members will have access to the Members Area. sorry guys

i moved now to austria for good!
last friday i drove my GT back to austria. friday morning i left london, at noon i took the ferry to dunkirk. no problems with my GT after 1200 km in 14 hours. the weather was very good in france, begium, germany and austria! will post some pics soon! hope everyone is good! all the best, leif

1800 miles in my GT over 1 (very) long weekend... now that's what I call progress...

I set out at the crack of dawn last Thursday, and I finally got home at 01:12 this morning having completed about 1800 miles taking part in a driving holiday weekend tour of Scotland (plus the drive there and back, of course... and I live near Hastings on the South Sussex coast so that's a long drive there and back!)



Considering the state my GT was in when I first picked it up last year.... I would certainly call that progress!

Smoking Ignition Switch

Hi, the ignition switch on my 1971 GT has started smoking and causing the starter motor to stay on. Can anyone help with a replacement ignition switch - I know they are rare. I see GT Source rebuilds COU and I am waiting for a reply from Suselbeek... I would appreciate anyones help.Regard MattSee More
